Public Design Workshop & Open House: May 28th – June 1st

Las Cruces residents, property owners, and business owners are invited to participate in a design workshop as part of the Elevate Las Cruces Comprehensive Plan process from May 28 through June 1. The multi-day design workshop will be conducted to explore how building and site design features can affect the character of development in new and revitalizing areas of Las Cruces.

Unless otherwise noted, all public design workshop activities will be held at the Bank of the West Building at 201 N. Church Street (across from Plaza de Las Cruces) and will include the following public input opportunities:

Design Workshop Kick-Off & Hands-On Design Session:

Join us for an informative presentation on community planning and revitalization. Following the introductory presentation, meeting attendees will participate in a hands-on design exercise to give feedback on their vision for the character of future development on “demonstration sites” (demonstration site locations TBD).

Open Design Studio:

During designated times, stop by the design studio to provide input on the design concepts for the demonstration sites. This will be a unique opportunity to provide feedback as initial design ideas are being developed.

Open Houses and Public Information Booth:

In conjunction with the open design studio, comment on city-wide future land use and development concepts that integrate public feedback received to date. Open house materials will also be available at a public information booth at the Farmers and Crafts Market on Saturday, June 1.

Work-in-Progress Presentation:

View the design concepts created for the demonstration sites during the ‘wrap-up’ presentation.
